Supported Letter Cases & Conventions

  • Sentence case: Capitalizes the initial letter of each sentence while converting the remainder to lowercase. Ideal for formatting transcribed notes, raw user input, and document paragraphs.
  • Title Case: Capitalizes the major words in titles and headings according to standard editorial guidelines (such as Chicago Manual of Style and AP Stylebook).
  • UPPERCASE: Converts every character into capital letters. Frequently used for acronyms, legal disclaimers, warning banners, and headline emphasis.
  • lowercase: Converts all characters to small letters. Useful for normalizing keywords, email addresses, and search terms.
  • Capitalized Case: Capitalizes the initial character of every single word unconditionally, regardless of grammar rules.
  • camelCase: The first word begins with a lowercase letter, and every subsequent word is capitalized without spaces (e.g. myVariableName). The standard convention for JavaScript, TypeScript, and Java variables and functions.
  • PascalCase (UpperCamelCase): Every word starts with a capital letter with no separating spaces (e.g. UserProfileComponent). Commonly used for class names, React components, and C# types.
  • snake_case: All lowercase letters joined with underscores (e.g. user_account_id). The standard naming pattern in Python, Ruby, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases.
  • kebab-case (dash-case): Lowercase words joined by hyphens (e.g. article-main-header). Widely used in CSS class names, HTML attributes, and web URL slugs.
  • CONSTANT_CASE (SCREAMING_SNAKE_CASE): All uppercase letters separated by underscores (e.g. API_SECRET_KEY). Standard for environment variables, config constants, and enum definitions.
  • aLtErNaTiNg cAsE: Alternates between lowercase and uppercase letters. Popular on social media for satirical quotes and the Mocking SpongeBob meme.
  • InVeRsE cAsE: Inverts the case of each character (lowercase becomes uppercase, uppercase becomes lowercase). Quickly fixes text mistakenly typed with Caps Lock enabled.
