Why Resize Images to 20 KB or Target KB?

Many government recruitment portals, civil service exams (such as UPSC, SSC, IBPS, RRB), university admissions, visa and passport applications, and job portals mandate strict photo and signature upload requirements. Typically, these portals require:

  • Applicant Photograph: Must be in JPEG/JPG format, between 20 KB and 50 KB (or strictly under 20 KB or 50 KB).
  • Applicant Signature: Often required to be under 10 KB or 20 KB.
  • Documents and Certificates: Typically capped at 100 KB, 200 KB, or 500 KB.

If your original camera or smartphone photo is 3 MB to 10 MB, submitting it directly will be rejected. This tool makes it effortless to downscale and compress the photo to the required KB limit without needing any software installation.

How It Works
