About the Formats

The FLIC file format (FLI and FLC) is a legacy animation format originally developed by Autodesk for programs like Autodesk Animator and Animator Pro. FLI files are limited to 320×200 resolution, while FLC supports higher resolutions. Neither format is supported by modern browsers or software. PNG is a widely supported lossless image format, and APNG extends PNG to support animation while maintaining backward compatibility.
